Worthy Rose

Coming from one of the best college basketball teams in history, aka the “Fab Five” Jalen Rose had a very impressive career from start to finish. Being a #13 overall pick in the 1994 NBA Draft, Jalen Rose went from college ball at Michigan to the Denver Nuggets. From there Rose played a majority of his career in Indiana playing with the Pacers from 1996-2002. From there he played with the Bulls, Raptors and Knicks before ending his career with the Phoenix Suns. In his career, Jalen Rose racked up 13,220 points, 3,527 assists and 3,193 rebounds. Aside from that he was most improved player of the year in 2000 along with the NBA All-Rookie Team in 1995.

Since his retirement in the summer of 2007 Rose has seemed to never leave the game. Upon retiring he has became a regular commentator for ESPN giving regular insider perspective on games from both a player’s and analyst’s perspective. Rose has also been a courtside reporter for TNT during the playoffs. Aside from these two TV jobs he is also an analyst for college game day for the biggest college basketball match-ups that week.

Rose is also known for his philanthropic efforts. He contributes to inner city youth by helping to build reading centers. He has also given Dikembe Mutombo a check for $100,000 to help with the construction of an operating room for the hospital Mutumbo built in the Congo. He is also the owner of Three Tier Entertainment. An independent, LA based management and production company. Created in 2007, Three Tier Entertainment is heavily involved in the development of television and film projects and also manages talent including directors, actors and screenplay writers.

Rose has kept his personal life pretty private over the years. He is not married and has no children and was only seen in 2011 with a lady friend by the name of Krissy Terry. She is an actor and dancer from Ohio and the two allegedly had been spotted several times together throughout the past few years. Jalen Rose also never met his biological father, Jimmy Walker who was a former #1 overall pick who started back court with Jerry West in the 1972 NBA All-Star Game. His father died in July 2007 of lung cancer and the closest the two ever got was speaking on the phone a few times before his death.

From Michgans Fab Five to all of his success in the NBA Jalen Rose is a true favorite as a guy who had a great career and is having a busy/successful retirement. On and off the court Jalen Rose has great character and I’m sure he has some kind of lady friend based on his swag and natural charm. We all wish Jalen the best as he continues his broadcasting and analyst career for ESPN and TNT along with building his businesses and charity work.
